Another one of our clients in the medical sector, Optimum Medical asked for our help to develop a new urine bag stand to complement their existing range of Ugo urology products. The brief was to design a plastic injection moulded bag stand that provided better stability and robustness than other offering on the market. In addition to this Optimum Medical wanted a removable dignity cover that would hide the bag and provide some comfort for the user.

The resulting two-piece polypropylene design provided the functions and features set out in the brief and also gave the user a number of ways to use the stand, either floor mounted, bed mounted or hanging on the integral hook. We provided numerous concept design schemes to the client for the design before developing the detailed 3D CAD used for manufacture of production tooling as well as cosmetic prototypes for evaluation and customer feedback.
